Event Description: These locations provide a great opportunity for intermediate paddlers to learn and practice strokes and rescues, as well as safely manage movement through open water challenges such as surf, rough water, and current. The 2 day training is a great opportunity for any intermediate paddler interested in getting more comfortable in “Open Water” conditions, which may include larger waves, breaking surf and stronger currents. This course is also designed to provide the aspiring sea kayaker instructor the opportunity to teach and earn trip leadership and skills assessments. If you have always wanted to “push the envelope” a bit out in the ocean and have plenty of Level 4 coaches around for safety and coaching, this is the training event for you.
